Attitudes of students of College of Basic Education in Kuwait towards some misconceptions in physical education
Abstract
The study aimed to identify the attitudes of the students of College of Basic Education in Kuwait towards some misconceptions in physical education. The study was conducted on a random sample of (371) male and female students using questionnaire. The study found that the attitudes of the students of College of Basic Education were overall positive towards the misconceptions of physical education. The results revealed that there were (4) misconceptions of physical education out of (30). The results also showed that the misconceptions of male students are higher than female students, and of those students who study scientific, literary and qualitative subjects are higher than physical education students, and those students with lower GPA are higher than those with high GPA. The study also found that there is no statistically significant difference between practitioners and non-practitioners of sport, and there were no statistically significant differences in the variable of the study year in term to their attitudes towards some misconceptions in physical education.
