The degree of possessing teaching competencies among faculty members in the Department of Arabic Language at King Abdul Aziz University from their point of view.
Abstract:
This study aimed to identify the degree of possessing the teaching competencies of faculty members in the Department of Arabic Language at King Abdul Aziz University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from their point of view in the light of the changes of academic rank and experience. The study sample consisted of (40) faculty members. The tool is a Likert questionnaire consisting of (50) adequacy, divided into three fields: Planning, implementation and evaluation. The study adopted the descriptive descriptive method. The results showed that the faculty members possess three teaching competencies from their point of view were high and to varying degrees. The field of implementation ranked first, planning ranked second, and the field of evaluation ranked last. The results also showed that the faculty members of teaching competencies in the light of the academic grade variable came in favor of the rank of the professor, and in light of the variable of experience came to the benefit of their experience (10) years and more.
