Trends of school principals towards academic acceleration of gifted students in primary schools in the State of Kuwait
Abstract
The study aimed to investigate academic acceleration in primary schools in stated Kuwait and to find out principals of primary schools attitudes towards academic acceleration. In addition to find out the reasons that hinder using of academic acceleration. The study used a questionnaire that was developed by the researcher. The study sample consisted of 100 males and females directors. The questionnaires were distributed and collected. The study concluded that the attitudes of primary school principals in State of Kuwait toward the academic acceleration of gifted students came was medium degree. It also concluded that there were several reasons that hinder using the academic acceleration in primary schools in State of Kuwait. The results indicates that there are no differences in attitudes of primary school principals in State of Kuwait towards academic acceleration of gifted students according to gender and scientific qualification.
