The extent to which decision making is included in the science book
for the third grade in Jordan
Abstract:
The present study aimed at revealing the extent to which decision making is included in the science book for the third grade in Jordan. In light of decision-making skill. The sample of the study consisted of the book of science for the third grade basic and all the subjects in the written book for the academic year 2018/2017, the analysis was based on the book of the student without the teacher’s guide. The study used the analytical descriptive method of the student’s book without the teacher’s guide. The researcher designed the book content tool in light of the decision-making skill, which consisted of (25) sub-skills within three main areas: The study found the following results: The importance of the skill of inductive and deductive reasoning for the post-analysis was repeated (234) and by (46.61%). The first field was the analysis in the second order with frequency (219) and (43.62%), the second field was the calendar in the third order and the repetition (45) and the percentage (10.75%). This means the importance of inductive and deductive thinking in the life of the learner and in the science book for the third grade and then followed by analysis and finally the calendar. The researcher recommended the need to conduct research similar to the other classes, and evaluate the curricula of science for the first stage of the first by both the teacher and supervisor of the curriculum in the light of life skills decision-making and problem solving
